Five Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails continue with their battle of empty stomachs

Five Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails continue with their open-ended hunger strike amid a dangerous deterioration in their health condition.

WAFA News Agency reported that the prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous who has been on a hunger strike for 126 days, Alaa Al-Araj, 102 days, Hisham Abu Hawash 93 days, Eyad Al-Hreimi 56 days and Louai Al-Ashqar 38 days.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission has warned against the critical health condition of these five hunger striking prisoners, noting that any one of them may die at any moment.

The commission pointed out that the Israeli occupation’s criminal practices towards the prisoners amount to war crime, stressing that commission had asked the European Union and the international organizations to immediately interfere as to save the lives of these prisoners.

Some 5000 prisoners are held in the occupation jails within harsh detention circumstances. 600 of these prisoners are ill and they need urgent treatment.
