Five new infections with the Omicron in Jordan

On December 16th, the Jordanian Ministry of Health announced the registration of five new infections with the Omicron mutant of the Corona virus in the country, all of them coming from abroad.

Amman News Agency quoted the official in charge of the Corona file, Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, as saying that all the infections have been isolated in a hotel in the capital, Amman.

He added that the Ministry is working to follow up and investigate contacts until laboratory tests appear for them.

The Ministry had announced earlier that two cases of the mutant had been recorded.
