Five martyred and 3 wounded in al-Sanamayn city in Daraa countryside

Daraa (ST) – Five citizens were martyred, two women and a child were wounded in an attack carried out by unidentified gunmen with automatic weapons that targeted the house of the head of the Agriculture Department in Al-Sanamayn city in the northern countryside of Daraa.

A source in Daraa Police Command stated that unidentified gunmen targeted a group of citizens in the house of the head of Al-Sanamayn’s Agriculture Department including the ex-former secretary of the Daraa branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Kamal al-Atmah. The attack led to serious injuries among the citizens, and they were transferred to al-Sanamayn Military Hospital, where five of them were later martyred. The injuries of the two women ranged between minor and medium.

The Director of Daraa Agriculture, engineer Bassam Al-Hashish, stated that the head of al-Sanamayn department was not injured in the attack that targeted his house.
