HAMA, (ST)- An explosive device, left behind by terrorist groups, went off on Saturday, injuring five civilians, including two children, in al-Safsafiyeh village in the countryside of Mhardeh in the northwest of Hama.
The explosion also caused damage to citizens’ properties, a source at the Hama Police Command told SANA, pointing out that the injured persons were transferred to hospitals in the city of Mhardeh for treatment.
Before their defeat, the terrorist organizations planted mines and explosive devices in the areas they controlled and hid them in villages, towns and agricultural lands to harm as many people as possible when they return to their liberated areas.
