Five bronze medals for Syria in the Asian Physical Strength Championship 

Abu Dhabi (ST): The Syrian team for physical strength achieved five bronze medals in the Asian Championship, which is currently being held in the United Arab Emirates, with international participation. 

One bronze medal was won by  player Omar Gurra   for the weight of 93 kg, while the player Samer Al-Ali won four bronze medals in the masters category for over fifty years. 

The head of the Physical Strength Association, Ziyad Muhammad, explained in a statement that the competition was strong, with the participation of world champions in it, and our players were able to beat many of them, pointing out that the ambition is to reach the global podiums, stressing at the same time that a meeting took place with the president of the International Federation and discussion centred on forming an Arab federation that follows up the game’s affairs, activities and tournaments in the region.
