Five bronze medals for Syria in the Arab Muay Thai Championship for young men and women

On August 27th, the Syrian Muay Thai team obtained 5 bronze medals in the Arab Championship for young men and women, which was concluded in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, with the participation of 200 male and female players representing 15 countries. 

The medals were won by male and female players, Sally Al-Rai, weighing 51 kg, Haneen Ali, weighing 57 kg, Rachel Boufroud, weighing 45 kg, Tariq Al-Wahaibi, weighing 60 kg, and Ali Al-Khatib, weighing 67 kg. 

The President of the Kickboxing and Muay Thai Federation, Manar Al-Bazra, praised the strong competition in the championship

He added: “We hope that better preparatory conditions will be available for the national team during the coming period in order to achieve distinguished results in the upcoming foreign tournaments.

In addition to Syria, the teams of Libya, the Emirates, Morocco, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Kuwait, Mauritania, Algeria and Tunisia participated in the tournament.
