ALEPPO, (ST)-The first phase of the agreement on ending the armed groups’ presence in Zabadani, Madaya and Boukin towns in Damascus Countryside and evacuating the people of the two terrorist-besieged towns of Kafarya and Foua in Idleb countryside to Aleppo was completed today under the supervision of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).
SANA reporter in Aleppo said that 3000 people from Kafraya and Foua arrived on board of 45 buses at the makeshift housing center in Jibrin area in the east of Aleppo city. Simultaneously, 18 buses carrying 500 gunmen from Zabadani accompanied by some of their families moved towards Aleppo southern countryside from where they will head to idleb, the reporter added.
Aleppo Governorate has supplied the makeshift centers in Jibreen area with all basic needs and equipments as to provide services to the people, according to the reporter.
The engineering units of the Syrian Arab Army started dismantling mines and explosive divices from the city of al-Zabadani after the last batch of gunmen along with some of their families left the city on Wednesday.
The armed groups blew up a number of houses in al-Zabadani and burned their sites and detonated some ammunition before leaving the city with some of their family members, while a number of gunmen preferred to stay in the city to settle their status.
