First Lady visits SOS Children Villages on Mother’s Day

First Lady, Mrs. Asma Al-Assad has visited the SOS Children Villages Association in Damascus Countryside on the occasion of Mothers’ Day, wishing all the best to all Syrian mothers.

The SOS Children Villages Association supports orphans and children without parental care.

Meeting the Association’s family, Mr. Asma said “today, we honor the incredible strength, love, and grace of mothers.

She hailed the great efforts being exerted by the SOS family to help and care for the children, stressing that “the woman who can be a mother for children who are not her own is a great, generous and loving woman.”

“The one who said that the mother holds the family together was right, and you actually are an example of how a mother holds the family together,” Mr. Asma added.

“You are caring for those children…you are building cohesive families and you are contributing to building a promising and bright future for the youths who are a trust in your hands,” Mrs. Asma went on to say congratulating the mothers on their Day and highly appreciating the SOS staff’s efforts.
