First batch of Chinese medical aid for detecting Corona virus arrives in Damascus

Damascus (ST):   A package of  medical aid  offered by China to Syria for detecting Corona virus infection arrived in Damascus International Airport.

In a statement to journalists, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad expressed Syria’s gratitude over China’s stand by Syria and the medical aid offered to the Syrian people, which reflects China’s keenness for providing aid to Syria and all world states to confront Corona virus.

For his part, China’s Ambassador in Damascus Feng Biao noted that this is the first batch of assistance, which consists of kits for detecting Corona virus,  and other packages will be sent soon.

 

Assistant Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Khleifawi said that the Chinese medical aid will contribute to supporting the health sector in Syria which was badly affected by the terrorist acts and the unilateral coercive measures being imposed on the Syrian people.
