First Batch of Abductees, Held by Terrorist in Douma, Liberated

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The first batch of abductees, who have been held by the terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” terror Group In Douma, was released on Sunday after an agreement was reached earlier in the day to release all the abductees in exchange for the evacuation of all the terrorists from Douma to Jarablus in Aleppo.

The bus carrying tens of released abductees, most of them women and children, left Douma late Sunday, drove through al-Wafideen area before taking the released abductees to the Faiha stadium in Damascus, where their relatives and thousands of citizens were waiting.

Syrian army soldiers and many civilians were at the scene celebrating the release of the kidnapped and chanting for their homeland and for President Bashar Al-Assad.

More batches of abductees are expected to be released from Douma’s al-Touba prison in the coming days.

According to SANA reporter, most of the released abductees have been kidnapped when the terrorists stormed the Adra Omaliyeh town near Damascus in December 2013. The terrorists committed horrible  massacres against innocent people, kidnapped hundreds of citizens and took them to Douma.

The reporter went on to say that five buses carrying tens of “Jaish al-Islam” terrorists and their families also left Douma so as to be later taken to the city of Jabrablus.

The process of evacuating the terrorists from Douma and liberating the abductees will continue in a parallel line until the city of Douma is declared free of terrorism.
