Fires in 800 dunums planted with barley in the countryside of Ras al-Ain

Al-Hasakah, (ST) – Fires broke out in the agricultural lands in the southern countryside of Ras al-Ain in Al-Hasakah Governorate causing the destruction of about 800 dunums planted with barley.

Civil sources indicated in an interview with SANA reporter that the fires erupted in the lands occupied by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, 20 km south of Ras al-Ain, and destroyed about 800 dunums of the barley crop, pointing out that the causes of the fires are still unknown.

In the same context, the fires destroyed an area of 20 dunums planted with barley as well in the village of al-Haswaweh, 15 km south of Ras al-Ain, at a time when a number of residents said that the Turkish occupation forces intentionally set fire to the crops as part of its terrorist practices to pressure the people and push them to leave their areas by sabotaging their property and agricultural crops.

Yesterday, fires erupted in agricultural lands and burned large areas in the villages of Umm al-Kif, al-Dardara and al-Tawila, as a result of the mortar attack by the Turkish regime forces and its mercenaries from terrorist organizations.
