Fire erupts in “Al-Thawara” street in Damascus, causing damage to old houses and shops

A fire broke out this dawn in houses and shops in Al-Thawra Street, Damascus, causing material damage. The Fire Brigade of Damascus immediately rushed to the scene and succeeded in extinguishing the fire, which resulted in no human casualties.

According to Commander of Damascus Fire Brigade Dawood Amiri, the firefighters managed to suppress the fire that broke out in old homes, shoe workshops at Al-Thawra Street and started to cool the fire to prevent it from re-igniting.

The Prime Minister Hussein Arnous visited the site of the fire to inspect the works done for suppressing the fire and to be briefed on the damage caused houses and shops.
