Finance Minister Mohammad Barnieh heads to the United States to represent Syria at the meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank

Finance Minister Mohammad Barniyeh announced that he is heading to the United States to represent Syria at the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and will participate in meetings with Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Husriyeh, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria.

He noted that ,”we have a large package of bilateral meetings and encounters, and we look forward to Syria’s return to the international financial system and the international community. “He added that he “hopes the meetings will support our efforts to rebuild Syria.”
