Finance Minister inspects Customs Directorate in Aleppo

 

Aleppo – Finance Minister Ma’moun Hamdan stressed the need to enforce laws and regulations and to be strict in dealing with cases of negligence and corruption in all their forms.

During an inspection tour of the Customs Directorate in Aleppo on Tuesday, as part of the visit of a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, Hamdan underlined the role of customs in combating smuggling which has a negative effect on national economy, noting that the Ministry and the General Directorate of Customs made several plans to develop the work of customs, SANA reported.

He said that the Ministry is working to implement measures to curb smuggling, and that deterrent steps will be taken against all those involved in illegal activities.
