Finance Minister, German Foreign Ministry’s delegation discuss financial relations

Finance Minister Mohammad Abazeed met this morning with a delegation from the German Foreign Ministry headed by the acting head of the delegation, Bjorn Gehrmann.

They discussed means of boosting joint financial relations between the two countries.

Minister Abazeed welcomed the German delegation, which arrived in Syria on a first visit by German delegation after the victory of the Syrian Revolution.

He stressed Syria’s readiness to launch diplomatic and financial relations with Germany.

Gehrmann expressed his happiness with the warm reception after Germany’s absence from Syria for about 13 years and said: We will reopen the German embassy in Syria, and launch and establish German diplomatic relations with Syria again.

He indicated that he has a set of questions and messages that he will discuss with the Syrian side today, in addition to bilateral diplomatic relations.
