Final Statement of the Syrian Political Family: Commitment to National Principles

LATTAKIA,(ST)_ Participants in the first consultative meeting  for the Syrian political  family  stressed  adherence to national principles , support  to the political program to resolve the crisis in Syria and for every  national initiative in this context .
In their final statement, the participants expressed  rejection of all forms of foreign interference and the need for continued dialogue in Syrian now and in the future , stressing support for the Syrian army in confronting  the terrorist Takfiri ideology  .

They condemned all  forms of violence and terrorism and stressed the need to have a ” clear distinction between state security and  a security  state ” and that ” social care  is the responsibility of the government “,  through  enacting  laws necessary for ” civil and political ” bodies  and that all citizens are equal in rights and duties .
The final statement stressed  the principle of accountability and fighting  corruption , developing  economic plans to ensure the achievement of the highest balanced development and utmost  social justice and to address all the effects of the crisis , especially issues pertinent  to  kidnapped and displaced persons ,detainees and martyrs , the wounded and their families ,  reconstruction of Syria   and founding  a specialized ministry concerned with youth affairs .
Also stressed was adherence to Syria ‘s national  sovereignty over all its territory , liberation of all occupied Arab territories by all means , activating the role of national parties and secular forces in the face of Takfirism and reactionaries  and dedicate  efforts to counter  the cultural invasion, stressing support of the public sector  to boost the national economy.
The meeting , which included 11 Syrian national parties  and elite national figures discussed in  two – day deliberations , all matters  contributed to fueling the current crisis  and outlined prospects for national action to reach a renewable Syria.
