Fighting Terrorism, Going to Dialogue,State’s Decistion,says Al-Zou’bi

MOSCOW, ( ST)-“fighting terrorism and going for a dialogue are Syria’s main decision as regards materializing the political program to solve the crisis in the country,”said  Minister of Information Omran al-Zou’bi .

Al-Zou’bi’s remark was made during a meeting with the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov on Tuesday in Moscow.

“the Syrians highly appreciated  Russia, people and leadership.. Syria wishes to upgrade , enhance  cooperation and friendship with Russia concerning  the reconstruction  of Syria after the end  of the crisis,” al-Zou’bi affirmed.

During the meeting,al-Zou’bi briefed Bogdanov on atrocities  perpetrated against Syria by those who came from western, Arab and regional countries including the smuggling of weapons and terrorists through their territories and looting Syrian oil by them is not an exception as they are looting the ordinary people as well.

The Russian diplomat Bogdanov voiced  his country’s rejection of the political pressures being practiced to change the legitimate government in Syria only to replace it with another illegitimate one , like giving Syria’s  seat at the Arab League to an illegal side.

Bogdanov made it clear that the Geneva communique , adopted on June 30th, 2012 is still the suitable base to start resolving the crisis in Syria through political and diplomatic ways.

After the meeting ,the Russian Foreign Ministry said that al-Zou’bi and Bogdanov exchanged viewpoints on halting  the  violence as soon as possible and  commencing a political process in Syria, based on a national dialogue between the government and opposition.
