Fidan: Lifting Sanctions on Syria is a Key Step Toward Stability

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that lifting sanctions on Syria is an important step, and that destabilizing the country serves no one’s interest.

He added that Turkey will not allow any party to destabilize Syria, and that Turkey will continue to support Syria in its integration into the international community.

.
Fidan pointed out that the withdrawal of US troops from Syria largely depends on the elimination of the reasons that led to their arrival in the first place.

He indicated that he would focus on the roadmap after the lifting of US sanctions on Syria in the meeting with Rubio and Al-Sheibani.

The Turkish minister pointed out that the Damascus government is acting carefully with regard to the comprehensive approach.
