Fidan confirms that Turkey will not support any form of federal structure in Syria

The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed that there will be no federal structure in Syria and that any armed formation outside the Syrian National Army will not be tolerated.

Fidan emphasized that his country will not support any form of federal structure in Syria and it expects all armed groups, including the “Syrian Democratic Forces,” to disarm and integrate into the national army.

According to Fidan, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) will lay down their weapons and join the National Army.

He also said “we will coordinate the process related to ISIS with Jordan and other countries in the region”.
