Fida al-Weli was born in the occupied village of Majdal Shams in 1984. The prison did not prevent Fida of defending his main issues, he was strongly adhering to his national stance against the Zionist enemy.
“We were on the cease-fire line and we saw the Israeli massacres against our people. Tens of martyrs were killed at the hands of the Israeli snipers, and we did not have but stones as a weapon to prevent the Israeli soldiers from killing more and more.” Feda said remembering his arresting day.
“The next day the Israeli police attacked my house at midnight and searched for me about three times until I was arrested. Then they took me to the police center and during the investigation I was exposed to various types of torture in an attempt to break my will, but I had not surrendered because I defended my nation’s issue. Those Israeli soldiers, who are heavily armed, are so cowards, they are afraid of our stones.” He continued.
In the prison I remember the pictures of the prisoners in the Occupied Golan Heights such as: the martyr Sitan Nimr al-Weli, the martyr Haeil Abu Zeid , Bisher al- Maqt , Sidky al-Maqt and Asim al- Weli who supply me with the patience and strength.
I wish to be a soldier in the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army to defend the pure soil of my beloved homeland . Fida stressed that the great victories of the hero Syrian Arab Army are considered the glory of every Syrian.
Feda has praised the Syrian wise leadership which proved to the world during the two-years of the crisis in Syria that Qasion will not bend and it will soon embrace Hermon by achieving the victory in the liberation of the occupied Golan.
Feda was sentenced at 15-3-2012 in the District Court in the occupied city of Nazareth. He spent about one year in the prison of Shata in the north of Palestine. He has been recently released.
