Fico: We reject Israel’s plans to destroy the Gaza Strip

Robert Fico, head of the Smer Social Democratic Party, in charge of forming the new Slovak government, expressed his rejection of  Israeli’s plans to destroy the Gaza Strip and change the status quo there, and the dangers of expanding the war zone in the region.

Fico said in a television interview broadcast on Facebook: “We cannot agree to plans to level Gaza to the ground, bear thousands of civilian deaths, or withhold humanitarian aid from the people in Gaza.”

For his part, Slovak Member of Parliament Lubos Blaha, denounced the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.

Blaha wrote on his Telegram account:” it is disgusting that the Western powers applaud Israel when it kills innocent civilians”, stressing that the attempt of the US President Joe Baiden to cover up Israel’s crimes represents a scandal.
