Feltman Describes his Talks with Dr. Shaaban in Oslo as Good

NEW YORK-Jeffrey Feltman, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, said he met the presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban at the recently held Oslo Forum where both talked about the situation in Syria, Iraq, Iran and Lebanon.

In a statement to “Alhayat” newspaper on Wednesday, Feltman said his talks with Shaaban were good, open and comprehensive and that he had previously met Shaaban four or five times.

The UN official added the talks didn’t deal with the Security Council’s resolutions regarding terrorism.

At the Invitation of the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Dr. Shaaban took part in the Oslo Forum which was held on June 18th through 20th. The event is annually organized by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and the Geneva-based Institute for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD).
