Nahas pointed out that lifting the unilateral unjust sanctions imposed on Syria represents a humanitarian duty, stressing the need to lift these sanctions that cause harm to all components of Syrian society, including children, women and the elderly, especially after the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake that hit the country last month.

Nahas affirmed that Syria is considered a country of peace for all people, and the gateway to the East economically. The delegations expressed their understanding of the need to lift sanctions on Syria.

It is noteworthy that the Arab-French Summit was jointly organized by the “Arab-French” Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Marseille, and the International Chamber of Commerce. Its agenda includes five sessions on environment, water, industry, modern construction projects, food, medicine, banking reform and banking facilities.
