Federation of Chambers of Industry: The entry of Iraqi merchants to Syria is an opportunity to re-activate the Syrian markets

The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry demanded, in a letter to the government, the  facilitation of  the entry of Iraqi merchants into the country, at the request of the Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.

 According to the letter, the international exhibitions in both China and Turkey have been canceled due to the Corona pandemic and there is a wish among Iraqis to purchase Syrian products. This move constitutes an opportunity to activate the markets, provide foreign exchange and improve exchange rates.” We hope that the Iraqi traders, registered in the Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, will be allowed to enter Syria without prior entry visas, as was the case before the war, taking the procedures used to combat Coronavirus into consideration.”
