Fedan: Turkish-Syrian relations will gain great momentum during the coming period

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today stressed the importance of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara’s visit to Turkey

Fidan told the Turkish Anadolu Agency: “good developments in Syria have accelerated during the past two months.
He referred to the positive treatment of the countries in the region and the international community with the new Syrian administration that has undertaken full responsibilities

Fidan added that the talks that took place yesterday between Presidents Erdogan and Al-Sharaa were an opportunity to address the main issues between the two countries.
He said: “We discussed the role that Turkey can play in the reconstruction and recovery of Syria and providing basic services to the Syrian people. In addition, we also discussed security issues and combating terrorism between the two countries.”

The Turkish diplomat pointed out that relations between Turkey and Syria will gain great momentum in the coming period.
