FEARAB America condemns the US economic and military war on Syria

HAVANA, (ST)- The Federation of Arab Communities in Latin America (FEARAB America) has condemned the so-called “Caesar Act” and the US unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people, voicing solidarity with Syria in the face of the military, economic and terrorist war that target the country.

In a statement handed over to the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Idris Mayya, President of FEARAB America Alfredo Darwish Gutierrez said that “the Syrian citizens and their heroic army, who aborted the US scheme and defended Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, will never allow criminals to revive their scheme.”

“The Syrians will confront and defeat the sanctions with the same determination in which they defeated terrorist groups,” the statement affirmed.

The statement condemned the American administration’s claims about “human rights in Syria”, noting that these claims reflect the ugliest forms of hypocrisy. It asserted that tightening the siege on Syria is an additional form of terrorism.

On his part, Ambassador Mayya stressed the important role that the Federation of Arab Communities in Latin America can play in support of Syria, pointing out that the so-called “Caesar Act” disregards all international laws and norms.
