Fattouh: The occupation’s incitement against UNRWA aims to erase the issue of Palestinian refugees and the right of return

President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, confirmed that the incitement campaign launched by the Israeli occupation against the United Nations Agency, UNRWA, is not new, but rather an old plan aimed at erasing the refugee issue and the right of return, which was approved by international legitimacy in its Resolution No. 194 of 1948.
Wafa Agency quoted Fattouh as saying today: The Israeli incitement against UNRWA is retaliation against the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the international institution, because of his positions and reports that the International Court of Justice relied upon in prosecuting “Israel” for committing genocide crimes against the Palestinian people, with the aim of covering up the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people and United Nations educational and health institutions.
Fattouh stated that the occupation bombed dozens of UNRWA shelters in the Gaza Strip, and killed thousands of displaced Palestinians who took refuge there, including 152 employees working for the agency. The Israeli latest attack targeted the industry school in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, which houses more than 10,000 displaced people. The bombing led to a huge fire breaking out in the tents of the displaced, killing and wounding dozens of them.
