In a statement to SANA, Father Zahlawi said that First of all I support everything that helps Syria stop the unjust war imposed on it and the so-called economic sanctions. am with the civil society in this important move to raise the voice to the United Nations and its organizations from the United Nations Security Council and the Human Rights Council and the other councils”, Father Zahlawi added .

Father Zahlawi called all the eastern churches in the United States to follow the example of Bishop Youssef Al-Tawil, the Syrian Damascene, and unite their word to extract a decision to end the unjust war on Syria.

Father Zahlawi pointed out that the Syrian civil society project in the campaign to “lift the siege on Syria” and the second project that it presents to the Churches of the East are complementary, expressing hope that they will reach what we aspire to from the end of the unjust war on Syria and the lifting of sanctions.

Father Zahlawi concluded by stressing that the United States is at the forefront of violators of laws, and therefore it is not entitled to impose sanctions on others, it is the one that deserves to be sanctioned by all international laws.
