The Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa area in Damascus has hosted the exhibition of Fashion design and handicrafts.
The exhibition included oil paintings in various styles, photography paintings, handicrafts works, woolen works, fashion designs and drawing.
The two trainers and organizers of the exhibition , Rahaf Asami, and Majd Kashour, from the MR Fine Arts Initiative told Syria times e- newspaper that this exhibition is a new kind of exhibition and we have trained the participants to design clothes.
“Our aim is to develop the ideas of fashion designs. Around 12 people , who followed fashion design courses for three months are participating in this event,” Majd and Rahaf said.
“Our goals are to develop and encourage participants to design fashion. We are trying to help them to be professional and to show their ideas to people” they added.
Participant Sarya Al-Shawa, who was showing her designs for the first time, said that she likes to study designs and to show her works.
Israa Baka, another participant, believes that this event will enhance her experience and acquaint people with her new designs.
Taghreed al- Lahham, displayed wooden boxes .
For her part, Ghdeer al- Lahham, showed handmade works made from soap and wax, and her goal is to market her works.
