Farmers in Daraa complete implementing the agricultural plan set for cultivating wheat and barley for this season

Daraa farmers have completed the implementation of the Agriculture Directorate’s plan set for cultivating wheat and barley crops for this season, according to Head of the Plant Production Department of the Directorate Wael Al-Ahmad.

In a statement on Tuesday, Al-Ahmad said that 10030 hectares were cultivated with irrigated wheat and 86558 hectares were cultivated with rain-fed wheat, while 39277 hectares were cultivated with barley, which is the entire plan of the current agricultural season.

He pointed out that the directorate has provided the farmers with necessary services, mainly the diesel fuel at 2000 Syrian pounds for a liter, which contributed to accelerating the cultivation process.
