Farewell ceremony for Iran’s Ambassador on the end of his mission in Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday bid farewell to Jawad Turkabadi, who ended his mission as  an ambassador of Iran to Syria. 
 
The ministry held a farewell ceremony during which Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar al-Jaafari awarded the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent degree for the ambassador as gratitude to Iran, and in appreciation for his good efforts to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.
 
The ambassador thanked President Bashar al-Assad for granting him the Order of Merit, appreciating the Syrian government and people and Foreign Ministry’s staff for their cooperation to complete his mission as ambassador of his country.
 
He affirmed that Syria is achieving victory, hoping that this victory would be completed.
 
For his part, Al-Jaafari described relations between Syria and Iran as deeply-rooted which were boosted after the Islamic revolution in Iran when the two late leaders, Hafez al-Assad and Ayatollah Khomeini founded those relations that have developed.
 
He hailed Iran’s support to the Syrian state to boost the resilience of the Syrian people, hoping that Iran would enjoy prosperity and progress, according to the Syrian News Agency ( SANA).
