The famous Egyptian Arab singer Hany Shaker, Head of the Egyptian Musicians’ Syndicate, arrived in Damascus on Monday to hold a concert at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

Upon his arrival at Damascus International Airport, Shaker expressed his happiness for visiting “beloved” Syria and singing before the Syrian audience. He said that he was amazed by the insistence of his Syrian fans to welcome and meet him.

He went on to say that the fact that he is still present in the conscience of the Syrians proves the Syrian people’s continuous love for him, promising that he will hold more concerts in Syria in future visits.

He revealed that he has a surprise for the Syrian people during the concert at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, which is a song titled “Long Live Syria, Long Live Egypt”, pointing out that this song expresses the love between the brotherly Syrian and Egyptian peoples.

He thanked the Syrian Artist’ Syndicate for the invitation which provided him with an opportunity to meet the Syrian people and his fans after more than 15 years of absence.

On his part, Mohsen Ghazi, the Head of The Syrian Artists’ Syndicate, said that the prominent artist Hany Shaker is one of the creative artistic icons of which the Arab homeland is proud.

Shaker is due to hold two concerts, on Thursday and Friday, September 15th and 16th at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
