Israeli settlers attack Palestinian farmers south of Al-Khalil city

A group of Israeli settlers on Saturday attacked Palestinian farmers in Tuba village in Masafer Yatta town, south of the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

According to Fouad Al-Imour, the Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committee in Masafer Yatta, dozens of settlers stormed into the Palestinian farmlands in the village under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked the farmers and damaged their crops.

 Attacks by the occupation forces and the Israeli settlers on the Palestinians threaten with the displacement of 3,000 Palestinians from Masafer Yatta, which contains 19 villages.

Moreover, The Israeli occupation forces detained 24 Palestinians in the north of Al-Khalil city.

WAFA News Agency reported that the occupation forces launched a wide-scale detention campaign in the town of Sourif, north of Al-Khalil. They stormed into the houses of the Palestinians, ransacked their contents and detained 24 Palestinians most of them are released captives.

The occupation forces launch daily attacks on the Palestinian cities and towns where they carry out detention campaigns aiming at displacing the Palestinians and seizing and judaizing their lands.

Meanwhile in Gaza, the Israeli occupation gunfire targeted Palestinian farmers and fishermen south of Gaza Strip.

WAFA news agency said that the Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinian farmers, east of Khan Younis, while the machineguns of the Israeli naval forces targeted Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the sea off the city of Rafah, south of Gaza, causing damage to the boats and forcing the fishermen to leave the sea.

The Israeli occupation forces carry out daily attacks on agricultural lands in Gaza to prevent the Palestinians from farming them or benefiting from their crops. They also attack fishermen in the sea and seize their boats to prevent them from fishing, which is the Gazans’ only source of livelihood in the light of the unfair siege imposed on the strip.
