Exposing the Oscars

When I was akid in the 90’s, I always loved the Oscars. Waiting, what kind of gowns the actresses would wear in this event. Waiting for the reactions of winning an Oscar. What is the feeling to holding that golden little man!

But unfortunately, all that glamour’s actually was gone away, when film like “The white helmets” won The Best Documentary picture in 2016.This is the moment that we have to wake up from such a delusion.

Remembering Film of “The lord of the ring”, how a film talks about a golden ring makes people evil. The ring of the story is the golden Oscar which sells a copy in four US Dollars in Los Angeles.

But how this golden state could give the actor, the actress, the film director or the cinematographer superpowers for being the greatest in his or her own crafts. But when it becomes to the political aspect in the cinema, especially the Arab audience, we need to stop at this point.

The German writer and the author of book “From Caligari to Hitler”, worn about Fabricating reality in cinema, could manipulate the audience conciseness . Because cinema more than entertainment form, it considers form of media or journalism offers information to the masses.

If the cinema is a form of journalism, so the awards show it as a form of public relations to sell their products which have certain information to target certain audience with different mentality and traditions.

In the article series “exposing the Oscars”, will introduce the idea of the Oscars to the purpose how the awards use politics in these events as propaganda.
