Explosives-rigged car defused near entrance to Lattakia city

LATTAKIA,(ST)_Competent Authorities have dismantled a car laden with 1000 kilograms of explosives near the entrance to Lattakia city, the official news agency (SANA) reported Thursday.

The agency said that the competent authorities based on accurate information in pursuing the car which was seized in al-Sabbora area near the entrance to Lattakia city.

“Terrorist were trying to drive the car into the city,” a source in Lattakia province told SANA.

On September 1st , the competent authorities defused two car bombs that terrorists had tried to bring into Lattakia city. While in the second day, terrorists exploded a car bomb on the outskirts of Lattakia city, killing 10 persons and wounding over 25.
