Expatriates in Slovakia: Terrorist Acts will not undermine Syria Unity

BRATISLAVA, (ST)_  Members of the Syrian community in Slovakia confirmed that terrorist and criminal acts will not be able to destabilize Syria’s unity, reiterating their stand for their country and army, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, until ultimate victory is achieved.

In a statement yesterday, members of the community condemned the cowardly terrorist bombing which targeted innocent civilians in Hassaka city and resulted in killing and wounding scores of citizens last week.

“This cowardly act and the dangerous brutal escalation by terrorists indicate the bankruptcy of terrorist organizations and their supporters, including regional and international countries and the persistence of the so called opposition forces to continue to terrorism and criminality, disregarding all initiatives and calls proposed by the Syrian leadership to start a national dialogue to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis,” the statement read .

Members of the community also expressed pride over the sacrifices rendered by the Syrian army in defending the country, deep sorrows on the demise of the martyrs and condolences to their families and voiced solidarity with Syria.
