Under the patronage of the Minstry of Culture, the Union of Fine Artists in Syria opened the solo exhibition of the prominent artist Bassam Al-Hajali at the People’s Hall of Fine Arts in Damascus entitled Awalem (Worlds).
The exhibition displayed 42 abstract paintings of different sizes each one representing its own topic and style; using oil colours .
Artist Bassam told Syria Times: “Awalem (Worlds) exhibition showed abstract ideas for example the bird represents freedom”
“The paintings reflect my own style; they reflect new ideas and new themes.” Bassam added.
“I used oil and acrylic colors; my paintings are inspired from my imagination, in which I express through them light, peace, love, and good”
Bassam has held more than ten solo exhibitions inside and outside Syria; he displays new ideas and themes in every exhibition.
Artist Reem Qabtan said to Syria Times “The exhibition of artist Bassam Al-Hajali includes one idea in all paintings, which is inspired by the epic bird, so we can see birds fire in water.”
For his part, Artist Mohi El-Din Al-Homsi said that Bassam Al-Hajli has his own style in painting, through using blue, gray and orange colres that make his paintings distinguished.”
