Exhibition of a Russian painter in Moscow on Palmyra’s civilization

Moscow, (ST) – The fine art exhibition of Valdmir Zeinin entitled “Palmyra is a symbol of the convergence of civilizations” embodies the civilization of Palmyra and its historical monuments, in honor of the memory of the martyr Khaled al-Assad and in recognition of the heroic deeds of the Syrian Arab Army and its sacrifices in defending the rich cultural heritage of the city and Syria as a whole.

“When we started the project of embodying the civilization of Palmyra in 2016 and we held our first exhibition, we started from the fact that we cannot stand idly by about what is going on in Syria, especially in Palmyra,” Our exhibitions are a cultural message that expresses the rich Syrian civilization and culture where human cultures blend with each other and produce for us the Palmyra civilization that every Russian citizen knows from a young age, said Zeinin in an interview with the Moscow correspondent at the opening ceremony.

“We have held several exhibitions on Palmyra in various Russian cities, we tried to show the brutal crimes affected the monuments, artifacts and historical tombs in the city and the destruction inflicted on them by terrorist organizations. Today we show some of our works at the Oriental Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow”, Zeinin added

Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Dr. Riyad Haddad stressed during the opening of the exhibition that Syria will remain the defender of human civilization and will continue to fight terrorism and respond to any external aggression that affects its sovereignty, territorial integrity, like the brutal Turkish aggression it is being exposed to today. He pointed out that this aggression, like others, will be defeated by the Syrian Arab Army as terrorism was eliminated in Palmyra and other Syrian regions.
