DAMASCUS – Activities of the International Syrian Exhibition for Real Estate Investment and Urban Development will be held on 23rd of April.
The exhibition, which will continue until the 27th of April, aims to showcase and market the projects of investors and real estate development companies, focus on local investment opportunities, identify a variety of properties, and provide an opportunity for participants, real estate experts and investors to communicate directly and discuss challenges and difficulties, raise ideas and issues of common interest and build partnerships.
Specialized economic exhibitions of building systems and its equipment (energy, water technology, industry and electricity) will be held in conjunction with the Exhibition of Real Estate.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the Director-General of the General Authority for Real Estate Development and Investment, Dr. Ahmed Al-Homsi, said that real estate investment has become one of the most important pillars of the economic and social development plan, noting the need to work on developing the necessary legislation and the promotion of investment culture in line with the reconstruction process and requirements of partnership between private and public sector.
For her part, Lina Jagmouq of Ro’ya company noted that the company chose to promote the real estate development and investment sector because of the wide horizons it opens for all those wishing to contribute to the future of urban construction. The expert in the field of urban planning Dr. Maria Saadeh stressed the importance of interlinking the three policies and plans set by the State, economy and investment that provide competencies and financial resources as well as community and social development in the process of urban development.
The conference was attended by a number of members of trade unions, engineers and chambers of industry, commercial attachés in embassies, Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, businessmen, investors and owners of real estate development companies.
