Exhibition and Bazaar of Creative Works for Young Women in Homs

 Homs, (ST)- With the aim of empowering and supporting young women and encouraging them to display and market their handicrafts and find job opportunities for them and introduce them into the labor market, the Homs Tourism Directorate has opened an exhibition and bazaar (Creative Works for Young Women) with the participation of dozens of young women, which includes various artistic, handcrafts and traditional works.

Eng. Ahmed Akash, Director of Homs Tourism, indicated that the 3-day  exhibition displays handicrafts and products of small workshops in homes that include traditional works, stressing the Tourism Directorate’s keenness to hold many exhibitions that support youth and traditional handicrafts.

 Ghazal Al-Tarsha showed that her participation in handicrafts pavilion includes displaying brooches, ribbons, metal stones and other works, while the young Abdul Rahman Tulaimat participated in the natural honey pavilion, where he presented his products of honey, dates and nuts, which he made himself.

The engineer, Ghina Al-Tarsha, who participated in a pavilion that included “epoxy” pouring paintings, pointed out that this exhibition, which targets young talents, has received wide attendance by young people from Various provinces.

As for the young woman, Rafah Shennar, from the “Homsia Touch” Initiative,  indicated that their participation includes handicrafts of women working in their homes, where Hana Idris, who participated in the Oriental craft,  indicated that she is working to renew these works as she teaches young women this heritage craft.
