Evacuation of the second batch of Syrian community in Sudan

The second batch of the Syrian community arrived at Damascus International Airport on Wednesday evening, comprising 199 people, including 60 children who were evacuated in Sudan on board the Cham Wings plane.

The expatriate, Abd al-Rahman Diab, spoke about the difficulties they faced on their way from Khartoum to Port Sudan, pointing out that the evacuations were complicated there, but the embassy coordinated with all sides and they spared no effort to help everyone. He expressed his feeling of safety after returning to Syria.

In turn, Ahmed Mohamed indicated that he came from Khartoum to Port Sudan, expressing his happiness at his return to his home country, Syria.

Ola Zaghal, from Aleppo, referred to the difficulties they faced until the evacuation plane arrived, noting the assistance and facilities provided by the Syrian embassy in Sudan. She  expressed her sense of safety upon her arrival in Syria.

The expatriate, Mahmoud Sweidan, praised the assistance of the Syrian embassy and its efforts, and the Cham Wings Company, which transported them to Syria.

Talal Takwa, an employee at Cham Wings Airlines stated that the company is awaiting the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the parties in Sudan to obtain other evacuation permits.

The first batch of the Syrian community who were evacuated from Sudan arrived at Damascus International Airport on Tuesday morning, including 191 people, on board the Cham Wings plane.
