European Union Welcomes President Al-Sharaa’s Speech: It Serves The Aspirations of The Syrian People

The European Union welcomed the directives of the president of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharaa, in the coming phase, stressing that they serve the aspirations of the Syrian people.

In a statement to Al-Arabiya al-Hadath, the EU spokesman for the Middle East and North Africa, Luis Bueno, said that ” Al-Sharaa speech on the stages of political transition is important and serves the aspirations of the Syrian people,” pointing out that “the union welcomes this announcement”.

Bueno pointed out that a European diplomatic delegation discussed with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Sheibani in Damascus the political transition, security and the lifting of sanctions, indicating that the European Union is working to strengthen its presence in Damascus.

Last night, President Ahmed Al-Sharaa delivered a speech to the Syrian people in which he stressed that the transitional phase is part of a political process that requires the real participation of all Syrians at home and abroad to build their future freely.
