European Union: “Support Syria” Conference will be an opportunity to exchange views with the Syrian authorities

The spokesperson for the European Union Anita Huber affirmed that the “Support Syria Conference,” which will be held in the Belgian capital, Brussels, on March 17, will be an opportunity to exchange views with the Syrian authorities.

Huber explained in a statement today that the conference will indeed be an important occasion to continue exchanging views with the Syrian authorities regarding the situation on the ground, as well as to understand how to provide the best support.

She said: “From our side, we must spare no effort to support a peaceful and comprehensive transition away from any foreign intervention that guarantees the rights of all Syrians without discrimination.”

Huber indicated that Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani is invited to attend this conference.
