European Union: Israeli violations against Palestinian children are appalling

Brussels (ST): The European Union stressed that the violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian children are “horrific”, calling on the occupation authorities to comply with the rules of international humanitarian law.

Wafa news agency quoted the Union as saying in a statement today: “It is shocking to witness a series of violations against Palestinian children by the Israeli forces. We are deeply concerned about the use of force against minors, as during the period from the eighth to the 18th of October a child was killed in  Bethlehem and 41 children were arrested in Jerusalem.”

The statement stated: “Under international humanitarian law, Israel is obligated to stop violence against children.”
