European Union demands the Israeli occupation to stop demolishing the Palestinians’ houses

BRUSSELS, (ST)- The European Union has called on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop demolishing the houses of the Palestinians, stressing that this Israeli behavior undermines any chance of establishing a Palestinian state.

In a statement on Thursday, the EU Spokesman Peter Santo said that Israel has demolished more than 70 Palestinian houses this week in Khirbet Himsa al-Fouqa area, to the north of the Jordan Valley in the West Bank, urging the occupation authorities to halt demolishing the Palestinians houses and stealing their properties.

Santo indicated that 52 Palestinian schools are now threatened with demolition, affirming the need to preserve the right of children to learn in a safe education environment, for education is a basic human right that must be protected.
