European Union condemns the occupation’s seizure of thousands of dunums in the Valley of Jordan

Brussels,(ST) – The European Union condemned the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to seize eight thousand dunums of Palestinian land in the northern Valley of  Jordan in the West Bank.

The European Union, in a press statement today reported by Wafa News Agency, considered that the settlements constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law. It indicated that the European Union leaders, during their participation in European Council meetings, condemned the decisions of the occupation government to continue expanding illegal settlements throughout the West Bank.

The statement indicated that settlement expansion undermines the prospects of establishing an independent Palestinian state.
