European Parliamentarians Visit Aleppo, Stress Western Media Is not Trusted Anymore

ALEPPO, (ST)-The European parliamentary delegation currently visiting Syria had the opportunity on Monday to visit Aleppo to be briefed on the reality of events in Syria as to convey a real image about these events to the European peoples who don’t trust western media anymore because of its disinformation and falsification policies, according to Udo Voigt, Member of the European Parliament and head of delegation.

 In a statement to SANA, Voigt said international powers like America, France and Britain in addition to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and “Israel” have been behind the heinous terrorist war waged against Syria to destroy it.

He congratulated the Syrian people on the victories achieved on terrorism and hailed the efforts being exerted in Aleppo to reconstruct and renovate destroyed and damaged buildings.

On his part, Head of the Belgian Nation Party Hervé Van Laethem, said that his third visit to Syria aims at conveying a real message to the Belgian people about the truth of the terrorist war Syria is facing, stressing the need to support the Syrian people as to completely eliminate terrorism.

“In addition to the crimes of terrorist organizations like Daesh and Jabhat al-Nusra, Syria also has suffered imperialist and Zionist policies adopted by the United States and its allies such as Britain and France, Laethem clarified.

He pointed out that the western media has practiced disinformation in several issues, particularly in the war on Syria to serve the schemes of the United States and world Zionism.  

 Ziego Glasnovic, a Croatian parliamentarian hailed the performance of the Syrian Arab army in the fight against terrorism and in protecting the region and the cultural heritage of Syria in general and of Aleppo in particular.

He pointed out that the delegation members will continue to work as to lift the European sanctions imposed on Syria because they badly and directly affect the Syrian people.

The visit of the guest delegation to Aleppo covered the governorate building where they met the governor, in addition to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in the city, Aleppo university, Aleppo University hospital, the old city, the Umayyad Mosque and the Aleppo Citadel.
