European Parliament Delegation Visits Syria Saturday

 DAMASCUS, (ST)- A European Parliament delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Javier Couso is due to visit Damascus on Saturday.

During its two-day visit, the five-member delegation will meet Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hadiya Abbas and will visit Hamish Hospital in Damascus and displaced people at one of the temporary housing centers.

 The European parliamentarians’ visit comes a few months after Belgian and French parliamentary delegations visited Damascus to know about what is really going on in Syria and to voice solidarity with the Syrian people.
