European MP: Syria, Entire Middle East Facing Imperialist Conspiracy Aiming to Dominate Region’s Resources.

MADRID, (ST)- Middle East countries, particularly Syria, are facing a huge American imperialist scheme aiming to destroy the Syrian state and dominate the region’s resources and potentials, European Parliament Member from Spain Javier Couso has stressed.

In a lecture he made at the “UNESCO Friends Club” in the Spanish capital Madrid at the invitation of “Plataforma” Movement against Wars and Imperialism and in coordination with the Russian Embassy in Spain, researcher Couso clarified that terrorists are being trained and sent to the region after getting direct and blatant support, funding and arming by countries supporting global terrorism like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey. Many Arab and foreign media outlets were also hired to spread lies and fabrications and to incite the public opinion as to guarantee the security of the Israeli entity and maintain the American interests in the region, he said.

American Intelligence destabilizing role

According to Couso, the American intelligence has played a big role in destabilizing the region and threatening the security of its sovereign countries that oppose American hegemony policies. He said the American intelligence has sought disseminating chaos and terrorism in these countries through creating terrorist organizations, training extremists under the name of “moderate opposition” and sending them to the targets.

“We are experiencing an important dangerous era of our contemporary history; the era of American Imperialist globalization which is based on using military force to settle conflicts and disputes and on adopting immoral and illegal interference in state’s internal affairs like regime change in the countries which oppose the American hegemony policies,” the European Parliamentarian said, presenting Iraq, Libya and the Ukraine as clear examples about foreign intervention, spread of chaos and terrorism, destruction of states and stealing of resources.

On his part, political relations official at the Russian embassy in Madrid Yevni Yavdokimov affirmed Russia’s keenness on attaining security and stability in the world and reiterated Moscow’s support for international efforts based on dialogue, and peaceful solutions to settle disputes and form a new multi-polar world order.

He renewed Russia’s military, economic and political support for Syria in the confrontation of the terrorist organizations, hailing the positive results achieved by the Russian air strikes in cooperation with the Syrian air forces in fighting terrorism in Syria.

Daesh is borderless

He pointed out that “ISIL” (ISIS or Daesh) does not only exist in Syria and Iraq. It is a borderless terrorist organization that has presence in Russia and the entire world, he said, clarifying that between 2000 and 3000 Russians are fighting within the ranks of the terrorist organizations.

He asserted that fighting terrorism is an international responsibility that should be undertaken by all countries of the world, because Daesh’s terrorism will target all and will hit back even the regimes which have sponsored and supported terrorism.
