European Intellectuals Say Syria Is in the Frontline of Confrontation against Global Terrorism

SWEIDA, (ST)- European intellectuals from the International Movement for Supporting Peoples’ Sovereignty have renewed their solidarity with the Syrian people, stressing that Syria is standing in the frontline of confrontation against global terrorism and that the European peoples should support this country.

During a symposium hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in the Syrian province of Sweida and run by the international movement founder, traveler Adnan Azzam, the intellectuals said that the Syrian people, who are triumphing in their war on terrorism and its supporters, have given the world lessons in steadfastness against hegemony forces, imperialism and Zionism.

They vowed to convey a real image about Syria and about the terrorist and media war it has been facing, affirming that truth about Syria should be told and the terrorist crimes committed against the Syrians should be documented and presented to the United Nations in order to punish perpetrators.

The intellectual hailed the Syrian people’s steadfastness, stressing the need to join efforts  against world imperialism.
